The Afc 120-F freezer bag is prepared for centrifugation by folding the label pocket along side the bag.

-
The AFC 120-F is placed inside an overwrap and the top folded down.

-
A "sandwich" bag is prepared to cushion the Afc 120-F in the centrifuge cup. The sandwich bag is a Fenwal® 1000ml transfer pack containing 400ml of saline.
-
The sandwich bag is folded into a "U" shaped around the bottom of the Afc 120-F. The bottom of the "U" will be at the bottom of the centrifuge cup. The Afc 120-F will be inside the "U" sitting upright with the tubeing at the top of the centrifuge cup.

-
The sandwhich is held between two hands to compress it sufficiently to slip inside the centrifuge cup.

-
Any tubing or loose tubes are tucked alongside the Afc 120-F after placing the sandwhich inside the centrifuge cup. Nothing should be on top of the bag in the centrifuge.
-
Fluid can be added to the cup to balance the centrifuge.
-
The cup is now ready for the centrifuge.

-
Carefully grasp the top of the Afc 120-F bag and gently pull the bag out of the centrifuge cup.

-
Place the bag on the counter and inspect for sedimentation.
