can produce custom bags to your specifications. We can work
with you to design bags of any shape, internal device, ports, and
connectors. Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene - FEP)
is used in the production of our patented laser sealed bags
because of the unique properties and biological benefits this
material exhibits.
As a material; FEP is biologically, chemically, electrically and
immunologically inert. FEP is highly permeable to CO
2 and O2
, yet exhibits low, virtually zero permeability to water and
water vapor. FEP has a very wide temperature range from
liquid nitrogen to autoclave sterilization temperatures. One of
the key elements of the material is that nothing sticks to it and there
are no extractables or leachables which make it useful in critical water
sampling and air sampling as well as biological applications.
Inert Properties
FEP does not absorb or bind any known chemical or biological. It
contains no plasticizers, leachables nor any extractables. Simply put,
cell fragments and biological "things" do not stick to the bag and
nothing from the bag adversely affects the the cells.
